Design Lead, Meta - Instagram and Facebook Shops

I led design for gift-giving, discounts and promotions, and the core storefront experience across Instagram and Facebook Shops. Partnering with product, engineering, and research, I shaped product strategy and built cohesive shopping experiences that served both buyers and sellers.

  • Strategy & Ideation: Drove cross-company alignment on commerce strategy, facilitating workshops and brainstorms to define new shopping concepts and differentiators for Instagram Shops.

  • Buyer & Seller Experiences: Designed industry-leading flows for how buyers shop on Instagram and how sellers configure their storefronts in Commerce Manager and Shop Builder.

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Managed and coached a team of three designers while mentoring peers across the broader Commerce & Connectivity org. Initiated a design-education program to elevate craft and consistency.

  • Execution Excellence: Maintained a high bar through proactive QA, bug triage, and hands-on testing to ensure every launch met design and quality standards.

This role combined strategic vision with hands-on craft—balancing leadership, collaboration, and meticulous execution to deliver shopping experiences at Meta scale.
